She's back long enough for me to let you know that I've brought the whole shop home - that's right, no more running back and forth from home to work to home to shop. Build a guitar (and they will play)
It's a big project, but taken in small steps, anyone can build a guitar. Under the guidance of our MMIR guitar expert, luthier students design and build their own guitars from scratch. You'll design your own acoustic or electric guitar, choose your own wood, stains and finishes, and explore possibilities for inlay and other guitar decoration.
Guitar Repair - We Fix it Right! (and so can you)
A good set up for your guitar or other musical instrument makes a world of difference to its playability.... makes even an inexpensive guitar easier to play, with better sound. MMIR can do all that and more.
Luthier Shop - Custom Instruments
We build guitars, appalachian dulcimers, bodhrans, Aeolian harps and folk instruments (some odd shaped things in our past!). Talk to us about your ideas - between us we might create a whole new musical string-thing.
Harping on it! - Harp Lessons and Small Harp Music
We love alternative weddings and celebrations! With a small, portable harp that goes anywhere, there are all sorts of musical possibilities. Small harp - big difference!
